Sprained ankles are a very common orthopedic injury and occur when the ligaments that connect the bones in the ankle joint are stretched or torn, often caused by a sudden turn or twist of the foot. Sprained ankles can be very painful, take a long time to heal, and immobilize patients in some cases. Here are some ways you can prevent a sprained ankle: 1. Warm-up and stretch before physical activities and include ankle-specific stretches in your routine. Doing so will prepare your muscles and ligaments for exercise. 2. Strengthen your ankle muscles by performing exercises that target the muscles around your ankle, such as calf raises and ankle circles. Strong muscles provide better support to the joint.3. If you have a history of ankle injuries, it would be wise to take an extra step further and wear a brace and/or tape around your ankle for additional support. 4. Choosing proper footwear is crucial in preventing ankle rolls, so ensure that your footwear fits properly, has good arch support and cushioning, and are appropriate for your activity. #SOSTips #SOSCares #SOSOrtho #SprainedAnkle

#snsinstitutions #snsdesignthinkers #snscollegeofphysiotherapy Supination TherapyThis can also lead to bunions and calluses, hammertoes, iliotibial band pain syndrome, plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, and more. Supination can be corrected using exercises, orthotics, footwear, and several other means.Supination can be corrected with orthopedic insoles that help prevent your foot from rolling outward. Insoles support your feet from beneath and promote a natural, equal distribution of pressure across your foot.Pronation is produced by forearm muscles (pronator teres, pronator quadratus and flexor carpi radialis). Supination is achieved by a combination of supinator (in forearm) and biceps brachii which, because of its attachment to the ulna, provides a strong supination moment.Supination is the movement in which a person turns their hand, wrist, and forearm upward. Turning your hand over to receive money is an example of supination.

Hello 😊 friends, today we have one 🕵🏼♂️🔎... PodoCuriosity, today we are going to talk about clinodactyly‼️.Many of you will wonder, what is that ❓ Well, it is the deviation from the birth of the fingers 🏼. It is a very common injury 📛, it does not cause pain and it is very easy to see that the finger is deviated or crooked..The causes for which the most frequent finger deviates are:❌ Congenital cause (It can be inherited from the father or the mother 👨👩👧👦)❌ Finger punch❌ Inadequate footwear (such as warning about high-heeled shoes 👠)❌ Associated pathologies. If we detect it in a child's foot 👶🏼, the ideal treatment would be a silicone orthosis or neuromuscular bandage, in which we seek an improvement 📈 of the joint..If you suspect 🤔 of this type of injury 🤕, like the one you see in the image, do not hesitate to go to the 🏥 Ayora Foot Clinic and we will solve this pathology..#podologia #podologo #podologiasevilla #salud #deporte #podiatrist #bienestar #lesionesdeportivas #deporte #Pisada #EstudioPisada #Plantillas #Running #Runners #biomecanica #dolorrodilla #podologianervion #podologoadomicilio

    Absolutely, they can!There's a prevailing myth that men are immune to bunions since they typically don't wear high heels. But the truth is, bunions can affect men, too. Men often opt for surgery less frequently because their choice of footwear tends to be more accommodating. 👞🦶#TheBunionKing #BunionKing #TorontoPodiatrist #MinimallyInvasiveSurgery #BunionSurgeryExpert #HeelPainRelief #AccentonFeet #FootHealthMatters #StepIntoComfort #BunionReliefTO #MISSpecialistToronto #FootWellness #TOEronto #Podiatrist #Podiatry #PodiatryClinic #PodiatryLife #PodiatristApproved #PodiatristsOfInstagram #FootHealth #FootPainRelief #FootPainSolutions #Bunions #BunionSurgery #HealthyFeet #HealthyFeetPodiatry

Plantar fasciitis, a pain in the ‘arch’What is plantar fasciitis or fasciopathy? It is an umbrella term for conditions effecting the plantar aspect (sole) of the foot (e.g. plantar fasciitis, calcaneal heel spurs).
