VICE is a program that runs on a Unix, MS-DOS, Win32, OS/2, BeOS,QNX 4.x, QNX 6.x, Amiga, Syllable or Mac OS X machine and executesprograms intended for the old 8-bit computers. The current version emulatesthe C64, the C64DTV, the C128, the VIC20, practically all PET models, thePLUS4 and the CBM-II (aka C610/C510).An extra emulator is provided for C64 expanded with the CMD SuperCPU.

Before contacting us, have a look at thethe VICE Manual if yourquestion is answered there. Keep in mindthat we work on VICE in our spare-time, so the more time we don't need to answerthe same questions over and over again, the more time we have to improve theemulation itself. On the other hand, that does not mean that you should notcontact us, especially if you find bugs or have suggestions which mightimprove the emulation.The list of already knownBUGSis also available.

- You may also sent thereport to the mailing address of the Vice team at (vice-emu-mail@lists.sourceforge.net).Please put the word VICE in all capitals in your subjectline (e.g. VICE fails to run game XXX). This helps mail splittingand reduces chances that your message is unintentionally deleted, forgottenor lost.

The binary monitor interface is stable now. Examples of projects using it:- C64 Studio is a IDE (Windows based)
- vice bridge .net is a .net library for implementing binary monitor support
Modern VICE PDB monitor is based on the above - IceBro Lite is a debugger (uses a custom SDL interface)
- vscode-cc65-debugger is a debugger (based on VSCODE)
- vs64 is a debugger (based on VSCODE)
- VICE PDP Monitor is a debugger that comes with a custom version of ACME
